Jordan Schafer (hand) is aiming to return to Grapefruit League action on Thursday.
Schafer sprained his left hand Sunday while making a diving catch in the outfield. “It’s really sore today,” the 25-year-old told reporters when he arrived back at Astros camp Monday morning. “Like they told me, with a sprain the next day is probably going to be the worst. I?m just happy it’s not broken. I?m OK with missing a couple of days, but I just didn?t want the break and to miss a couple of months.” Schafer is expected to start in center field this year for Houston.
