Orioles’ minor league catcher Michael Ohlman underwent an MRI on his right shoulder on Wednesday, which revealed significant damage.
Ohlman injured the shoulder in a car accident Tuesday when he was driving back from practice. He is scheduled to get a second opinion from team orthopedist Dr. Wilckens on Thursday, but is expected to either opt for rehab or surgery. The 21-year-old batted .224/.320/.307 with four home runs, 51 RBI and a .627 OPS over 105 games with Class-A Delmarva last season.
