Jimmy Rollins predicted Thursday that Cole Hamels will sign a long-term deal with the Phillies.
“He?ll be here,” Rollins told CSNPhilly.com. “He’s not going anywhere. He was drafted by this organization, raised by this organization and became a superstar in this organization. If you know anything about this organization, that means he’s not going anywhere.” We wouldn’t be so sure. Hamels is likely seeking an extension worth more than $100 million from the Phillies and will have plenty of big-budget suitors if he’s allowed to reach the free agent market this fall.
