Updating a previous item, Zach Britton (shoulder) is scheduled to throw from about 90 feet on Thursday.
Orioles executive VP Dan Duquette announced Wednesday morning that Britton would begin his throwing progression Friday, but he’s actually getting started a day earlier. The young left-hander experienced inflammation in his shoulder once he began a throwing program in mid-December, so he’s currently behind some of the other pitchers in O’s camp. The issue seems to crop up when he tries to throw on consecutive days, so he has been focused on rehabbing and strengthening the area. If all goes well Thursday, the hope is that he’ll remain on track for the start of the season.
