The Mariners and RHP Shawn Kelley avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $600,000 contract.
Kelley was arbitration-eligible for the first time this offseason as a Super Two. The 27-year-old right-hander made his way back from Tommy John surgery last season and posted 12 2/3 scoreless innings with the Mariners as a September call-up. He should help set up for closer Brandon League in 2012.
