Jordan Schafer was granted a continuance on drug charges after appearing in a Tampa court Monday.
Schafer will be back in court on November 28 for another hearing. He faces charges of possession of cannabis, which is a third-degree felony in Florida, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor. The 25-year-old could open the 2012 season as Houston’s starting center fielder.
